Amid a whirlwind of uncertainty in the world, Critical What?!
screened on June 7, 2026, at Northwest Film Forum to friends,
family and contributors.
The film follows a group of young people as they grow
from curious beginners into confident storytellers, documenting both their filmmaking journey and the issues that matter most to them.

As the credits rolled, the theater filled with cheers and applause.
After the screening, the youth filmmakers, composers, and
members of the filmmaking team took the stage for a heartfelt
conversation.
True to the spirit of the film, they began by
asking the audience: Why are youth voices important? The responses sparked an honest, meaningful dialogue that reflected the power of listening across generations.
One especially moving moment came when a youth participant
shared that they are currently experiencing houselessness and
expressed how meaningful it was to see that reality reflected
through a young person's perspective.
Next, we'll take Critical What?! on the road to
reach new audiences before bringing it home for more local
screenings. In addition we developed a curriculum for school
